IU dropped a major spoiler for her upcoming album Love, Poem during one of her concerts in Incheon. To the delight of fans, the singer announced that a sequel to her hit song You & I will be part of her comeback.

According to a report by All Kpop, IU revealed to her fans that she will be releasing the ou & I sequel, entitled Outside the Time, eight years after the first song.

IU said that fans should look forward to the sequel because it will have the same feel as the original song. Outside the Time was produced by You & I producer Lee Min Soo. IU wrote the lyrics for the sequel.

It can be recalled by fans that IU started floating the idea of a sequel to You & I in 2018 because she wanted a definitive ending to the story.

The release of the sequel only came out this year but it was perfectly timed. The original actor who played her leading man in the You & I MV, Lee Hyun Woo, recently completed his mandatory enlistment. This means that he will be available to work on the Outside the Time MV.

IU's Love, Poem album will come out on November 18, after the release was delayed due to Sulli's death. It can be recalled that IU opted to postpone the release of her album to properly mourn her good friend, who was found dead in her home last October 14.

During one of her concerts, IU paid a proper tribute to her friend when she changed a portion of the lyrics of Red Queen to reflect a final farewell to Sulli, All Kpop reported.

It can be recalled that the song was a collaboration between IU and rapper Zion.T. During her performance of the song at her Love, Poem concert, she replaced Zion.T's rap part.

"Hey, don't bother queen no more, Please don't wake queen up no more, Red queen's going back go on, My queen keep it up go on," read a portion of the lyrics.

She ended the song with a meaningful "I give her lullaby bye bye bye, Bye, my majesty," which brought many fans to tears.

Fans of IU know that Red Queen was a very sentimental song for the two friends because IU's song was inspired by a self-portrait of Sulli. She also wrote the song Peach for her good friend in 2012.
