He is also the current odds-on favorite to end the season as the Ligue 1 top scorer. He was a crucial target for Real Madrid during the summer window as Zidane tried to offload Gareth Bale and get several players to get more goals.

Diario Sport recently reported that PSG's Leonardo would like to secure a deal for Junior. This could reportedly pave a way for both clubs to have a dialogue to factor in a player plus cash setting. So far, the 19 years old footballer has only started four matches this season and in five occasions has come off the bench.
