Since its release, "Red Dead Redemption 2" players have long been hunting for the rarest fish in the game but to no avail. The Channel Catfish, both a legend and a legendary fish, has never been found by players in the game. But, it appears that a recent data mining activity reveals that the legendary rare fish actually exists in "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Gamerant recently reported that a recent data mining activity in "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC finally found the mythical Channel Catfish. The legendary fish was discovered in the files of the game's PC version and came in a couple of models instead of one. The Channel Catfish has a larger and mysteriously small model.
The larger models certainly match the legend that the Channel Catfish in "Red Dead Redemption 2" is around 180 pounds and is pink in color. But, based on the data mine, the fish is not yet a finished model with its malformed neck and unfinished textures. It is worth noting that although the Channel Catfish is found in the data mine, this does not guarantee that it is available in-game.
For those who would like to learn more about the legendary Channel Catfish in "Red Dead Redemption 2," look for Jeremy Gill in the game's story mode. He will assign players to catch a school of legendary quality fish. Once all 12 fishes are caught, Gill will tell the story of a 180-lb catfish and will commence a quest to catch it.

Jeremy Gill will then ask the player to take a position and take a picture as he catches the massive fish. Eventually, Gill will catch the fish but it will pull him and neither are ever seen again in "Red Dead Redemption 2." The release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the PC port has so far lead to a lot of discoveries because of easy access to the game's files.

It could also because of the minor changes that Rockstar Games have made in the game's latest version. A few days ago, the mystery of Princess Isabeau Kathabrina Zinsmeister of Luxembourg, another character that was never found in the console version of the game was discovered in the files of "Red Dead Redemption 2" PC. However, just like the Channel Catfish, we do not have any clue about what to do with these recent discoveries.
