Valve has re-entered the gaming industry with new projects after a long period of inactivity in terms of developing games. This time the gaming studio seems to be focused on the virtual reality (VR) market with its own Valve Index. Recently, a new leak surfaced, claiming that Valve is working on a new version of "Left 4 Dead" and will reportedly reveal it during this year's The Game Awards event.

Valve recently announced "Half-Life: Alyx," which is the gaming studio's full-pledged entry int the series and will be released as an exclusive VR title. Hot on the heels of the announcement of the game, a new leak from the gaming studio reveals that "Left 4 Dead" VR will be announced at the Game Wards 2019. If the latest leak pans out, this will be the second game that Valve announced for this month.

While the "Half-Life: Alyx" has an announcement trailer, "Left 4 Dead" VR has none apparently because its announcement will happen at the upcoming game event. We will certainly get more details about the game if it gets launched at the said event. For a decade, we have not heard about "Left 4 Dead" despite that it has been kept alive by different mods and extra campaigns, there has not been any news on a new "Left 4 Dead" title in years.

Although the "Left 4 Dead" VR leak introduces a new game potential for the zombie shooter series, this is a game that casual gamers that have no VR will not be able to play. Valve will definitely get a significant amount of criticism for this move. But, with these two VR titles, we could only hope that these are just forerunners to more games the gaming studio has in store for the gaming industry in the coming future. Maybe we could get a new "Half-Life" game and a new "Left 4 Dead."

The Game Awards is one of the most anticipated events in the video gaming industry this year because of the possible announcement and release of gameplay trailers of some of the biggest titles releasing next year. This year, The Game Awards is scheduled on Dec. 12 and will start at 7:30 Central Standard Time. Meanwhile, we are hoping that Valve will soon give us a new "Left 4 Dead" title in the not so far future.
