Last September, electric vehicle maker Tesla introduced the simplified solar power offerings, which make it easier and quicker to order a solar energy system for one's home, be it a conventional solar panel or a solar roof. That particular system is available in various sizes ranging between small and large. Today, Tesla releases a new option, which is the X-Large with 15.2 kW offering 58-77 kWh per day and costs $27,365.

Over the past months, Tesla has been revamping its solar business with a new solar rental service where homeowners could get a solar panel system for just $150 a month. The company has been developing more straightforward and more transparent pricing to push energy products closer to consumers and homeowners actively.

The new Tesla X-Large home solar power system produces an average of 58 to 77 kWh each day. It is ideal for homes with an electric bill of between $340 and $460 per month. The latest home solar power system offering is a 33 percent increase over the biggest home solar options that Tesla previously offered. These are the small with 3.8 kW, medium with 7.6 kW, and large with 11.4 kW.

Contrasting the Tesla Solar Roof, the home solar power systems use more traditional solar panels and not solar tiles. The biggest solar system in California costs $39,093 before incentives and could go down to $27,365 after incentives. The X-Large home solar power system is currently being offered under the new no-contract solar subscription program where owners would pay only $195 each month.

In a recent email to Tesla employees, CEO Elon Musk wants acceleration of the rate of solar installations as one of the tow most crucial priorities of the company for the end of 2019. Musk notes that Tesla Energy is becoming a distributed worldwide utility and could even outgrow the automotive business of Tesla.

In the 2016 data from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), it revealed that solar has already become the cheapest way to produce electricity. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that by 2050, solar will be the primary source of energy of the world. While this is good news, that number may appear far off to some people since solar energy currently represents below 0ne percent of the energy market.

Recent breakthroughs, like Tesla Energy and Tesla home solar power system, to name a few, are making it more efficient and much cheaper to extract energy from the sun.
