The YG family is turning up in full force to support Song MINO's debut as a visual artist. BLACKPINK Jennie was the latest to drop in on the WINNER member's first exhibit at the Seongnam Art Center's 808 Gallery.

According to a report by Soompi, WINNER's Song MINO was thrilled at BLACKPINK Jennie's arrival to his official debut as an artist and personally showed her around the gallery.

In his Instagram post, Song MINO gave a shoutout to his YG Entertainment labelmate and captioned the image: "Thanks, Jennie." He also posted several photos of himself and Jennie posing beside three of his artwork featured at the event. In some photos, they had fun copying the poses in the paintings.

The Special Exhibition for Emerging Artists is an annual event that showcases emerging talents in the art field to create an avenue to discover new talents. This year, Song MINO was invited to join other talented artists who have been making their mark domestically and internationally.

MINO joined 51 other up and coming stars of the art world for the special exhibit, which opened last December 17. The event will run until December 25.

While MINO has been quite open about painting as a hobby, this was the first time that he introduced his work formally as a professional artist. During the exhibit, he had the chance to mingle with his peers, as well as exhibit guests who wanted to see emerging names in the art scene. On his Instagram, the WINNER member posted several photos of other artists who participated in the exhibit.

BLACKPINK Jennie was not the only YG artist to show his support for WINNER's MINO. It can be recalled that no less than BIGBANG leader G-Dragon graced the event on its opening day to show support for his junior.

G-Dragon is recognized globally not only because of his music but because of his artistic flair and edgy art creations so his support meant a great deal for MINO, who is now starting as a visual artist.

Fresh off his collaboration with Nike for the limited edition Paranoise collection, G-Dragon has been focusing on art after his discharge from the military. He was recently recognized as one of the 50 Art Collectors to Watch by ARTnews magazine because of his extensive collection estimated at USD 4.5 million. He has also been setting off new fashion trends with a fresh new collection off his peaceminusone fashion brand.
