Prince William and Kate Middleton released a TV special in time for the holidays. Many royal fans quickly compared it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's controversial documentary and they have spoken. They preferred the light-hearted and warm special of the Cambridges than the heartbreaking documentary of the Sussexes.
BBC dropped the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's special, titled A Berry Royal Christmas, recently. It was praised for its fun and festive mood in comparison to the sad tone in Harry and Meghan: An African Journey documentary.
According to Daily Mail's Harley Richardson, the two TV specials clearly show the difference in style and tone of the two royal couples. Prince Harry and Meghan's documentary was aired on ITV in October. It followed the couple in their royal visit in Africa along with their son, Baby Archie.
In her interview, the Duchess of Sussex confessed that she has been struggling to live the royal life. Duke of Sussex, on the other hand, admitted that he and William have been in conflict but expressed his love and support to his brother.
The couple's revelation sparked concern not only to the royal family but to their fans as well. Some royal fans also criticized Harry and Meghan for airing their difficulties as members of the royal family while many can't relate to their situation.
In comparison, William and Kate are in a playful mood in their TV special. They appeared in the show with Mary Berry and Nadiya Hussain. A fan commented that the Cambridges' special is such a "wonderful contrast" to the Sussexes documentary.
"THAT is how you do a royal documentary. Warmth, happiness, love, teamwork & nothing but respect for charity and people. And LOL at Prince William immediately recruiting Nadia for Shout! What a King! #ABerryRoyalChristmas," another tweeted.
One also asked William and Kate to do a full series of their TV special. She said it was so much fun watching the show and the couple should do more.
Meanwhile, Kate also revealed that one of Prince Louis's first words was "Mary" after he saw Mary Berry's cookbooks at their home. The future king and queen also talked about the eating habits of her children.
According to William, Prince George prefer Chelsea FC, despite him being a supporter of Aston Villa. Kate shared Princess Charlotte loves Charlotte potatoes while the youngest one, Prince Louis, loves beetroot.
