Britney Spears allegedly married her boyfriend Sam Asghari in a surprise wedding in Louisiana. This was the tabloid headline from a year ago which was proven to be unsubstantiated.
Gossip Cop divulged that the story published in the printed edition of OK! Magazine on Dec. 22, 2018, about Spears eloping with Asghari was fabricated. While their relationship remains strong today, the pop star and her model boyfriend have yet to walk down the aisle
Despite no marriage taking place between Spears and Asghari, the couple are very much in love with each other and have since managed to stay together for over two years. Spears recently shared online snaps of her and her guy for Christmas at her five-bedroom house in Thousand Oaks.
In the photo, the hitmaker is seen wearing a turquoise top and black tight pants while standing next to her man, who has his hands around her waist. Behind them is a gorgeous giant Christmas tree with white and bright lights and decorations. Under the tree are a bunch of gifts for Spears' family and friends.
Fans of the superstar filled the comments section with praises and remarks to let the couple know that they love the Christmas photo. It's not the first couple post for Spears and Asghari since she would often share images and videos of their sweet moments together.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Spears will be spending the eve of Christmas with her growing sons and her boyfriend. However, the boys' father, Kevin Federline will have the children for the rest of the week. In August, the Family Court granted Spears' ex-husband 70-30 custodial rights over Sean, 14 and Jayden, 13.
Meanwhile, early this year, Asghari said that he has bonded pretty well with his girlfriend's sons after they went on a trip to Disneyland. He told Entertainment Tonight that his relationship with Spears is normal despite her celebrity status. He also said that they are inspired by each other to work and grow together as individuals and as a couple.

Spears has been in the permanent conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears and several lawyers based on a court order in 2008 after her mental breakdown. The conservatorship has been allegedly a sore spot for Sam, who reposted a #freeBritney meme on his Insta-stories, according to Daily Mail. The meme alleged that Spears can't drive her own car or choose a lawyer to defend her in court because her father has control over her life.
