Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent a magical Christmas with their son Archie Harrison and Meghan's mother Doria Ragland in Vancouver Island in Canada. Reports revealed that the Sussex couple stayed at a $14-million mansion owned by a mysterious multi-millionaire.

According to the Daily Mail, the beach-front property boasts of eight bedrooms and two beaches on each side. The news outlet has a photo of the lovely luxurious house, which has a gorgeous view of the peninsula.

The house sits on four acres of sprawling land with lots of trees for privacy. It has its own media room, wine-tasting room, wet bar, two-storey living room, which open to a dream kitchen with its own pizza oven.

Daily Mail also reported that security has been tight around the mansion since Dec. 19. Allegedly, an officer from the Sussex pair's royal protection team was seen patrolling the premises, thus confirming Prince Harry and Meghan's presence in the area.

According to the Daily Express, Prince Harry and Meghan might have been inspired to spend the holiday in this part of Canada by Princess Diana, who visited Vancouver in 1986 with Prince Charles. However, Meghan used to be resident of Canada for close to seven years when she filmed her TV show Suits in Toronto. She has plenty of friends in the country, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who was also informed ahead of time that Prince Harry and Meghan will be in the Commonwealth Country.

Meanwhile, restaurant owner Bev Koffel also confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan were in town for Christmas. The Koffels manage the Deep Cove Chalet restaurant but they apparently turned down the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's request for a dinner reservation.

Koffel told Vancouver Sun that they refused Prince Harry and Meghan because of their royal entourage. According to Bev, her husband Pierre had to say no upon the hearing the level of security that the Sussex family required if they were to dine at their restaurant.

Bev also revealed that neighbors have seen Prince Harry and Meghan jogging around the community in Horth Hill. She wished the Duke and Duchess of Sussex some peace and quiet during their vacation and she hoped all will be well when they return to London and to their royal duties.

Prince Harry and Meghan are due to return to London in January after missing the holiday festivities with the royal family. Earlier, they were allegedly also requested to return earlier because of Prince Philip's hospitalization but the Duke of Edinburgh is reportedly recovering well in Sandringham.
