Donald Trump has been accused anew of telling lies about Michelle Obama. This time around, he made claims about the former First Lady's whereabouts during the 2016 campaign.

Trump asserted last week that Mrs. Obama did a last-minute campaign trip to Michigan three years ago. CNN reporter Daniel Dale corrected the president, saying POTUS's latest claim about the Obamas isn't true.

Dale called out the president for his false claims that Barack Obama's wife went to Georgia with Oprah Winfrey for Stacey Abrams. The reporter stressed that there is no truth about POTUS's claim. There is also no record that Michelle ever took part in the campaign trips in 2016.

Trump critics showed support to Dale and slammed the president for his lies. They also accused the POTUS of being jealous of the Obamas.

"My respect and appreciation for you are beyond words. Got to be tough listening to Trump's lies day after day. I give you the Nobel or whatever highest distinction for journalism. Superb," one Twitter user wrote.

Another praised the media for calling out Trump every time he tells inaccurate information. One also called out Trump of using Michelle Obama's name in his politics.

The former FLOTUS has yet to respond to the president's recent claim about her. POTUS made his latest false claim about Michelle Obama after she expressed her support to Greta Thunberg. Trump earlier mocked the 16-year-old climate activist for receiving the Time's Person of the Year award.

Meanwhile, many are expecting that President Trump would throw shades on the Obamas again after Michelle was recognized for new achievements recently. The mother-of-two ranked third on Forbes' list of World's Highest-Paid Authors of 2019.

Michelle released her memoir, Becoming, in November 2018. The book reportedly sold 10 million copies within the Forbes' timeframe. It also became the bestselling book of 2018 despite being released less than two months before the end of 2018.

She also sold out arenas for her book tour in which she visited 10 cities. The former resident of the White House reportedly raked an estimated $36 million earning from her book. The earnings are from June 2018 until June 2019.

On top of Forbes' World's Highest-Paid Authors of 2019 is Harry Potter's author J.K. Rowling with $92million earnings, followed by James Patterson with $70million. Rounding up the top five are Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney and Stephen King.
