Two of the most beloved holidays of the year are Christmas and New Year. Who wouldn't love those events this season, right? With all the parties from left to right, the meetings and greetings of families and friends, the happy mood and all the smiles everyone tend to share to all the people around, these holidays are no doubt two of the best times of the year.

But did you know that most people are unaware they are becoming less healthy during this season? With all the stress, parties, alcohol, and fatty and unhealthy foods we've encountered all along, our body's one of the most important organs has just sucked every negativity up. This organ is the liver.

HOW IMPORTANT IS THE LIVER?

The liver is a crucial part of our body's system. Its main job is to filter the negative things found in the blood directly from the digestive tract. It is the organ that removes all the waste such as fats, alcohol, dirt, and other things that could pose harm to the body found in the blood before releasing it again to travel to the rest of the body. Without it, our body will be intoxicated with every bad thing we are consuming, as explained by WebMD.

WHAT TO DO TO KEEP THE LIVER HEALTHY AFTER HOLIDAYS?

Try to keep up with a healthy lifestyle slowly but surely.

The stressful events, the body needs enough time to be revived and renewed once again. So, instead of completely going back to some strenuous workouts, you might want to rest for a while and choose lighter exercise as a preparation for your mind and body for the day. You might want to try activities such as swimming, walking, or yoga, which can also be more fun at the same time.

Learn to say "no."

Parties and events don't instantly stop right after the holidays. Though it might be so tempting to overcommit to these events, focusing on yourself instead of your friends and families is the best thing to do. Spend more quality time with yourself and rest from these gatherings. Give your body the break it deserves, as reported by Body and Soul.

While enjoying parties and events, it is crucial to prioritize yourself and your body still. Learn to be mindful of your tolerance to alcohol and be sure not to overuse your body. Rest if you must, before something bad happens.
