Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, probably at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in February, according to a new report. Earlier, a set of specs allegedly that of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphones surfaced online. Today, we have a new leaked display protector that suggests aside from its similarities with its predecessor, Xiaomi Mi 10 might compete against Samsung Galaxy S20 in terms of design factor.
The current leaked display protector image of Xiaomi Mi 10 suggests that the company is ready to take on the big guns in the smartphone industry not only with its affordable price point but also with its enhanced design language. The leaked protector suggests that Xiaomi's upcoming flagship smartphone might have razor slim bezels with a remarkable bezel at the bottom, but a lot thinner compared to the current generation smartphone from the company. The handset also seems like it has a waterfall display considering the pronounced curve on both the left and right side of the protector.
The display seems to align with previous reports that Xiaomi Mi 10 will feature a 90-degrees curve at its edges. Additionally, it suggests that the upcoming device might not have a visible power key and volume rockers. Instead, it seems that the Xiaomi Mi 10 will replace these with pressure-sensitive buttons, according to wccftech.
Interestingly, the leaked protector seems to suggest that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10 will be an all-screen smartphone considering the absence of camera cutouts. It also hints at the possibility of a pop-up selfie camera and an under-display camera, perhaps. Earlier, Xiaomi President Bin Lin shared the Xiaomi Mi 9 prototype with an under-display camera and without notch and pop-up.
So, there is a chance that Xiaomi might surprise everyone with the Xiaomi Mi 10 at launch with these similar features. Other features of the upcoming flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker rumored earlier include a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and most probably an in-screen fingerprint reader. The flagship smartphone might house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.
In terms of memory, the Xiaomi Mi 10 might have 12 GB LPDRR5 memory and 8 GB RAM. Based on earlier reports, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Xiaomi might feature four rear cameras with a 108 MP primary camera. It is also rumored to house a 4500 mAh battery pack.
It is worth mentioning that these details, while exciting, are not official. We recommend taking these with a pinch of salt and with skepticism.
