Last December, a leak from a popular tech and gadgets tipster revealed that the Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer OnePlus would release a new handset dubbed as OnePlus 8 Lite. The leak showed that the upcoming device will feature a rectangular camera bump at the back and will have a punch-hole display. A new leaked live photo allegedly that of OnePlus 8 Lite reveals that instead of the dual rear camera configuration, the device will feature a triple rear camera configuration.
Based on the latest alleged live photo of OnePlus 8 Lite, it appears that it will have a notch. In fact, the notch is unlike the waterdrop notch we saw on OnePlus 6T but a wide one similar to OnePlus 6. The front of the device also reveals a camera on the left side of the notch.
The back part of the alleged OnePlus 8 Lite photo reveals three rear cameras and not two cameras, as revealed in the previous renders. It, however, retains the same camera housing that we saw in the previous render. Noticeably, the new leaked photo shows that the LED flash is not within the rectangular housing but on the left side of the camera setup with a pill-like shape.
Additionally, it appears that aside from the OnePlus logo, there is nothing else on the back part of the device. Given the absence of a fingerprint scanner at the back of the alleged OnePlus 8 Lite live photo, it is possible that it might feature an in-display fingerprint scanner in its AMOLED display. Earlier reports claimed that OnePlus 8 Lite might be released as a mid-range phone, but it could still house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus inside.
OnePlus 8 Lite Live Photo Leak Shows Triple Rear Cameras Instead of Dual from r/KnowingIt
The upcoming OnePlus 8 Lite might be released in two configurations, according to Phone Arena. Both models will reportedly feature 8GB of LPDRR4 RAM and will come with 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage. OnePlus 8 Lite variants might retail at around $ 431 and $473, respectively.
Other OnePlus 8 Lite specs might include a 4000 mAh battery pack and an IP53 rating, which will protect the phone from light rain and splashes. The upcoming device from OnePlus is predicted to go against Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Tech enthusiasts believe that if priced right, OnePlus 8 Lite could even be a worthy alternative over the upcoming Google Pixel 4a.
While these specs and details seem exciting, it is worth noting that these are not official. We recommend not to get too excited about these details since these are not from OnePlus.
