What POCO lacked in 2019 it makes up this year with a series of announcements and teasers. The first official report came a few days ago when Xiaomi announced that POCO is now an independent brand. Following the teaser posted on the company's official Twitter account, a recent interview with a POCO India executive seemingly revealed that the much-awaited POCO F2 is launching in March 2020.

POCO F2 Release Date

Gadgets 360 recently interviewed POCO India Manager Manmohan Chandolu. The executive shared some news about the much-awaited POCO F2. Chandolu revealed that the sequel of Pocophone F1 would arrive in Mar. 2020.

Unfortunately, the POCO executive did not share the official name of the device. POCO will still rely on its former parent company Xiaomi in some aspects like its supply chain and the MIUI. Xiaomi would still provide the after-sales services through its channels, and POCO's user data would still be stored on the data centers of its former parent company.

The manager also shared that POCO would focus on providing value for money smartphones with flagship SoCs and massive RAM. POCO will concentrate on online marketing but has plans for the offline market. The brand would focus on the Indian market, and plans for international expansion would take more time, according to its manager.

POCO F2 Announcement Teasers

The official Twitter account of POCO recently shared two cryptic tweets. Fans think they are hinting about the announcement of the POCO F2. The post states that the brand is ready for action with the hashtag POCOIsHere.

Multiple POCO F2 Models

YouTuber RevAtlas posted a video showing three images of the alleged POCO F2. According to the YouTube channel, the information about the upcoming smartphone sequel was sent through an email. Based on the information, there is a model called POCO F2 Lite, which houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC.

Rumors online believe that POCO might release two or three variants of the most-awaited smartphone sequel. It might have a 4G variant as hinted in the smartphone's certification under model number M1912G8BI.

Then, there is the leaked image from RevAtlas of the smartphone's Lite version. Considering that there is a 4G variant, it looks like the company is poised to launch the 5G variant as well. Earlier leaks claimed that the POCO F2 would pack a 5,000 mAh battery pack and 6GB of RAM. The email, according to the Youtuber, also says that POCO F2 would be available in three variants and would be based on the Xiaomi K30. It is worth mentioning that these details are still unofficial. We suggest taking this with a pinch of salt and with skepticism.
