China reported deaths of 563 on Thursday as its government continues to finish the second hospital designated for coronavirus patients exclusively. A total of 73 people already died from the virus within a 24-hour period. Most of them are from Hubei while three deaths were reported in Tianjin, Heilongjiang and Guizhou.
At the same time, Wuhan built three module hospitals where people with mild clinical manifestation of the virus are taken in. Also, only patients aged 18 to 65 who can take care of themselves can seek shelter in these module hospitals. They should not have respiratory diseases, no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and no psychosis. They should also test negative for the flu.
As more people turned up infected in Wuhan, nearby Nanchang city restricted access to its territory. Authorities are in strict monitoring activities, checking those who wish to enter and leave the city. Only one member of the family is allowed to go out once every two days to get supplies. This is among the many preventive measures nearby cities and provinces are doing to stop the spread of the virus.
In Shanghai, all schools delayed having students back in the classrooms up until the end of February. All sports events in the city were also canceled. The measures placed Formula One Grand Prix in uncertainties as the fourth season was scheduled for April 19.

Meanwhile, Adidas joined the already long list of businesses closing their stores and shutting operations in China. The company warned investors that it will revise its fiscal outlook as it assessed the financial impact of the situation. Adidas has 500 stores in China and 11,500 outlets. Reports were not immediately clear how many of these locations are closing.
In Singapore, authorities linked a business meeting at Grand Hyatt Singapore to the growing number of infections in the country, in Malaysia and South Korea. Accordingly, 109 peopl;e attended a business meeting in the hotel between January 20 and January 22. Fifteen Singaporeans were in attendance and 94 from overseas.

A Korean Air flying people to Las vegas was diverted to Los Angeles for coronavirus screening. The flight was diverted after three passengers revealed they are coming from China. The United States required all foreign travelers from China to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
Hong Kong's Cathay pacific Airways asked its 27,000 employees to take leaves without pay as the outbreak resulted in reduced flights on top of health risks for its staff.
In Indonesia, a travel ban resulted in 5,000 Chinese tourists stranded on a resort island in Bali.
