The latest episode of Going Seventeen 2020 had everything: action, suspense, mystery, betrayal, and a truly unexpected plot twist (if you didn't dig too much into the previous episode). In "DOUGHn't Lie #2", the members of SEVENTEEN had to find a hidden stash of 500,000 Korean won and figure out which of them were actually the Mafias who could claim the prize. Amazingly, the idols managed to figure out that Hoshi was one of the Mafias who needed to be eliminated from the game. However, Kwon Soonyoung still managed to survive until the end because of his clever mind tricks.
In Going Seventeen 2020 Episode 3, the members of SEVENTEEN had to play a game they dubbed "DOUGHn't Lie", as it was a combination of the Mafia game and a treasure hunt. S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino were all given roles to play in the Mafia game and then informed that they would need to find a hidden treasure within five minutes at a time. The treasure, which was actually 500,000 won, had previously been hidden around the premises by the Mafia, who will be able to keep the money if the "citizens" don't find it at the end of the game.
Not surprisingly, fans who tuned in to Going Seventeen 2020 Episode 3 were undestandably suspiscious of Hoshi from the start. After all, Kwon Soonyoung was acting strangely while the other members of SEVENTEEN were busy looking for the money. Things then got interesting in Episode 4 when the idols eliminated Jeonghan as the first Mafia while the Mafias managed to "kill" Seungkwan, who happened to be the police. After the next search for the "treasure", Hoshi made the mistake of giving away his identity while discussing the one-on-one interview between searches with S.Coups.
At this point, it was almost certain that Hoshi would be voted out of the game, leaving one remaining Mafia still playing. However, Mingyu proposed that they should first find the last Mafia before eliminated Kwon Soonyoung. This led to Woozi accusing Kim Mingyu of being the other Mafia, something that Hoshi immediately took advantage of. The leader of the Performance Team then claimed that the rapper was betraying him to strike a deal with the "citizens" in dividing the money.
Amazingly, everyone was ready to remove Hoshi from the game but the tables were turned as the members all agreed to vote out Mingyu, who was actually an innocent citizen. Having been saved from elimination, Hoshi sat back as everyone raced to find the money. Unfortunately, their time ran out and the reward was finally given to the Mafias who are Jeonghan, Hoshi, and The8.
It was an awesome episode where Hoshi almost lost his chance of winning the prize. However, he still managed to use mind tricks on the other members of SEVENTEEN and with the help of Mingyu, emerged victorious. Not surprisingly, Hoshi later gave Mingyu 50,000 won for helping him out.
