Following the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, a trickle of OnePlus 8 leaks started to surface online. We already know that the Chinese smartphone maker is planning to release three variants of its flagship smartphone series arriving this year. Interestingly, a new set of leaks reveals that the OnePlus 8 series could threaten the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.

OnePlus 8 Leaks

While the upcoming OnePlus 8 could not match the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, it looks like it fills the missing details the Samsung flagship series does not have. In this particular article, we will look at the specs and features of the OnePlus 8 Lite variant and see how it will fair with the current generation Samsung flagship series.

The OnePlus 8 Lite would feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Unlike its more expensive siblings, the OnePlus 8 Lite would feature a display refresh rate of 90 Hz. While the more costly OnePlus variants would house Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, the OnePlus 8 Lite would reportedly house a Mediatek Dimensity 1000 processor.

For its camera configuration, it would reportedly feature a 48 MP x 16 MP x 2 MP camera. These are the primary, wide-angle, and depth sensor shooters of the OnePlus 8 Lite. In the front, the upcoming device might feature a 16 MP shooter. Rumors have it that it would arrive in the Spring of this year and would retail at around $500.

Other Details

The OnePlus 8 Lite has a slightly bigger display compared to the standard Galaxy S20 smartphone. It also offers more pixels, and it surprisingly retails at $500, which is very attractive given its specs and features. Other reports claim that OnePlus would also offer the variants with 5G support, but it would be available at a slightly higher price.

OnePlus is known to offer flagship killer smartphones. Ever since it joined the mobile industry, the Chinese smartphone maker has been offering affordable smartphones with killer specs and features. If the latest leak is accurate, the OnePlus 8 series could become a desirable option for consumers.

OnePlus 8 Pro also has very impressive specs with a retail price of around $799. The variant would sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a display refresh rate of 129 Hz. It also has a better camera configuration compared to its more affordable sibling, the OnePlus 8 Lite. It would reportedly feature a 60 MP, 16 MP, and 13 MP camera sensors with a 32 MP selfie camera in front.
