Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro are the most popular wireless earbuds in the market today. Long before the COVID-19 hit, Apple has been suffering from the AirPods Pro supply crunch because of surprisingly increasing demands. But, aside from iPhone and other Apple devices, users could also pair their PlayStation 4 with the AirPods Pro, here's how.

Can You Pair AirPods Pro With PS4?

PlayStation 4 users know that they could not use the AirPods Pro directly with their gaming console. But, that is not entirely true because there is a way to pair Apple's wireless earbuds with the current generation Sony's gaming console. All the user needs is a device called AirFly.

What is AirFly? It is a Bluetooth adapter produced by Twelve South that makes it possible for AirPods Pro or AirPods users to link the wireless earbud with different devices. This includes any aux port, exercise equipment, and even in-flight TVs in airplanes. That's not all; the AirFly could be used in the auxiliary port that could be found in the PS4 Dualshock 4 controller.

Steps On How To Pair PS4 With AirPods Pro

To use the AirFly, simply connect it to the headphone jack of the PS 4 Dualshock 4 controller. Make sure that the Airfly Pro is in transmit mode (TX) when connecting. Hold the button for four seconds until you see that the light starts to flash.

When the AirPods Pro is in the case, make sure that the lid is open and press and hold the pairing button. This could be found at the back of the charging case of the AirPods Pro. Wait until the front light flashes white.

Wait for the time for both devices to pair. You will know that the pairing is successful when the status of your AirPods shows a green light, and the AirFly shows a white light.
