The next Apple operating system is anticipated to be on the iPhone 12 series. The upcoming flagship series is expected to arrive in Sept. of this year. Interestingly, a new set of leaked images may have already given away one interesting feature of the Apple iOS 14.

New Leaked Images

The latest news about Apple's iOS 14 Bionic chip comes from popular tipster Ben Geskin. The new set of leaks, which come with a video revealed by 91Mobiles highlight the upcoming iOS 14 Bionic chip of the Cupertino company. The leaks reveal that the new OS features a redesigned multitasking menu that looks a lot like that seen on the iPad.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max running on Apple iOS 14 reveals that the multitasking view could fit four apps in just one screen. The layout is also noticeably similar to iPads that enable users to shut down an app by simply swiping it up. The tipster has an excellent record when it comes to sharing accurate tips.

He also claims that it is not a jailbreak tweak. Instead, he reveals that it is a multitasking switcher dubbed as a grid Switcher on an iPhone device. He also claims that it is triggered by internal settings of the iOS 14.0 internal build. But, until Apple announces the iOS 14 bionic chip, we have no way of confirming this particular feature.

A14 Allowing Third-Party Apps

A few days ago, Bloomberg reported that Apple is looking into allowing third-party apps to be set as default apps on iPhone and iPad models. Since Apple introduced the App Store in 2008, the company has maintained a closed ecosystem. In other words, the Cupertino giant only allows its own apps on its devices, especially on iPhone and iPad models.

But, with the mounting pressure coming from lawmakers, consumers, and developers, it looks like the company is finally opening its doors to third-party apps. What does this mean? This potential move could let iPhone and iPad users to replace the pre-installed default apps on their Apple devices.

For instance, users can replace the Safari web browser to Google for its default app. Spotify, last year filed a complaint against Apple for its inability to be selected as a default app on Apple devices. The report claims that there is a chance that Spotify could soon be set as the default music app of Apple devices in place for Apple Music.

As to when this could possibly happen, the report claims that it might be available when Apple releases the iOS 14.
