They found out the dirtier the house, the higher the cortisol levels are of those people who are living in it.
Having high cortisol levels can negatively affect the body in so many ways. Aside from affecting the production of cortisol hormones, living in a cluttered environment can also disrupt our sleep. Experts say frequently interrupted sleep can cause a lot of negative effects on the body, especially on one's brain.
In a post shared by the Sleep Foundation, the organization enumerated several effects on how interrupted sleep affects the brain and the person itself. According to the experts, having a such sleep can stress your brain too many causes it to not function at its best. This can cause a person to suffer from difficulty in remembering things and an increase of amyloid protein build-up, which is recently linked to Alzheimer's disease.
