Kate Middleton and Prince William just concluded their three-day tour in the Republic of Ireland, which started on March 3. While their brief stay in the country was filled with tons of engagements and events, everything seemingly went smoothly for the royal couple. However, they reportedly encountered a problem on the third and last day of their tour.
According to Express UK, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge experienced a "helicopter problem" on their way to Galway. They were expected to arrive at 40 minutes before 11 in the morning for the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture Events.
But, due to the unexpected "blow" as they fly from Dublin to Galway, they reportedly arrived at the capital an hour later. Even so, it was said that Prince William and Kate Middleton still proceeded to attend all of their engagements in their itinerary.
It was not revealed at first what was the "helicopter problem" that the royal couple experienced. Before reaching the capital, though, royal experts and commentators shared on social media platforms that they were running late due to the intense fog present at the Dublin airport.
Despite the delays, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were still welcomed by "dozens" of excited individuals at the capital. Galway Bay FM also revealed that the royals were "officially welcomed" by the city Mayor, Mike Cubbard and City Chief Executive, Brandan McGrath at Tribeton Bar and Restaurant.
This engagement was reportedly followed by a "traditional music session" in Tigh Cóili on Manguard Street. Prince William and Kate Middleton were then seen to do a "short walk" on Shop Street and Quay Street.
While their appearances were noted to be very brief and "quick," several reports, especially from the Ireland papers stated that they easily caught the attention of many because of their "impressive" looks and styles. It was even shared that several individuals in the area were "impressed," especially with the Duchess of Cambridge as she wore a green polka dot dress, which entailed the national color of the country.
As added by Connacht Tribune, the Cambridge couple's Ireland Tour was concluded at the west in Salthill Knocknacarra GAA club. Their engagement at Aras Bothar na Tra was then noted to mark the conclusion of the trip.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were expected to return to the United Kingdom on the same day. Although their first visit to Ireland was indeed quick, many fans and experts stated that it was all successful as the royals were able to establish greater ties with the country, especially now that Britain is officially out of the European Union.
