All of the BTS members are great dancers, but the group’s official “Dance Line” is consists of J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, or better known as the 3J. And even though Jin and RM have improved a lot with their dancing skills, some people consider them as the weak link in that category.

BANGTANTV recently posted its latest episode on YouTube with the title “7-second Interview.” The concept was pretty easy. The interviewer asks a question and RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will have to answer them in seven seconds.

One of the questions was, “Who was the slowest to learn the ‘On’ choreography?” Some people may quickly choose Jin or RM because it is a given fact that they are not as effortless in dancing like the 3J.

But J-Hope a.k.a. BTS’s dance leader commended Jin and RM’s dancing skills. “Actually, everyone got it down really well… Namjoon and Jin did such a good job,” he said.

But to answer the question, J-hope chose one member as the slowest to learn the “On” choreography — himself. “I think I was a little slow, this time,” he shared. (Watch the video here).

This revelation is quite hard for ARMYs to accept as J-Hope is known as the fastest learner in BTS. Jimin even shared before that while the other members had a hard time learning the choreography in one of their previous popular songs, J-Hope learned it in just a few minutes.

Many believed that J-Hope was just being polite by choosing himself as the slowest one to learn the “On” choreography just to answer the question. He also showed extreme kindness towards Jin and RM, knowing that there are people out there who bash them for their dancing skills.

Meanwhile, a former idol trainer explained why J-Hope is the main dancer of BTS even though Jimin was a top student in Busan arts high school from all departments. He summed up J-Hope’s dance style with one word: precision. He also pointed out that the BTS star is very effortless when he dances, making it appear that the choreography is easier than it actually is.

“He used big yet precise dance moves,” he said. “Although it looks effortless, it actually uses up a lot of energy. [J-Hope] knows how to let other members shine by being the maestro on stage.”
