Since last year there were rumors and leaks associated with the upcoming smartphone from the search engine giant, Google Pixel 4a. The latest leak we have is an alleged live image of the device shared on various sites like Reddit and Facebook. The new set of leaks reveals a mid-range Google Pixel 4a along with a fabric case, which many believe could be the iPhone SE 2's, challenger.
New Google Pixel 4s Leaked Images
The latest set of live Google Pixel 4a images comes from the Twitter account of TechDroider. The images show a mid-range smartphone with the fingerprint sensor and a big camera bump that seemingly confirms earlier leaks and rumors. The front of the Google Pixel 4a has thinner bezels compared to the Pixel 3a.
It also sports a punch-hole camera on the top left part of the display. There is also an image showing the Google Pixel 4a covered in a fabric case. Based on the leaked images, it appears that Google is keeping the headphone jack, which is good especially for users who do not want to use earbuds.
The leaked Google Pixel 4a images only show the physical look of the mid-range smartphone. In other words, we have no way of knowing what's inside the phone. There is a leaked image that seemingly revealed the available storage of the smartphone.
The most likely scenario is Google Pixel 4a would have a base storage of 64GB. Earlier leaks claimed that the mid-range smartphone from the search engine giant might feature a 5.7-inch display. It would most likely house a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Google might also equip it with a bigger battery for more juice.
Google Pixel 4a Release Window
Given the uncertainties brought by the COVID-19 outbreak in the world, it is hard to say when Google would launch the Pixel 4a. Now that the search engine giant cancelled its I/O developer conference, it is no longer tied to a specific launch window. But, it is possible that Google might announce the mid-range smartphone within this year.
iPhone SE 2
Google Pixel 4a could be the company's rival to the entry-level iPhone SE 2, which is anticipated to launch this month. Although several reports claimed that the launch and maybe release of the affordable iPhone model could be delayed, the iPhone SE 2 is one of the most awaited models to release this year. It is rumored to have the same look as the iPhone 8 but with more rounded edges. The iPhone SE 2 is expected to retail at $399.
