Jennifer Aniston has been in the industry for more than 30 years and many believe that she has nothing more to prove. Nonetheless, she continued to get rumored getting envious of other actresses. The latest of which is on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan.
The National Enquirer published a story with the headline "'Maisel' Star's Rise Not So Marvelous To Jealous Jen!" which suggested the Friends actress is not impressed by Brosnahan's rise to stardom. Many might be wondering why an A-list actress such as Aniston would feel jealous of Brosnahan. The tabloid said it is all because of director Will Speck.
A source of the outlet claimed Aniston thinks the House of Cards actress is someone who is encroaching her turf. The two have lots of common friends and one of them is director Speck, who is allegedly grooming Brosnahan as the next Aniston is comedy.
This doesn't come as a surprise since Rachel has awards to boast around. So far, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2018 and two consecutive Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2018 and 2019. All of these recognitions are for her performance as aspiring stand-up comedian Miriam "Midge" Maisel in period comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
"One of Jen's best assets was her comedic timing, but now Rachel seems to be getting all the attention, and that hurts," the insider claimed.
The source claimed despite the success of her own TV series, The Morning Show, Jen can't help but feel jealous of Rachel. More so after Brosnahan landed a role in Speck's upcoming sci-fi comedy Distant.
The filmmaker is known as a close friend to Aniston. Speck previously directed Jen's movies such as The Switch and Office Christmas Party.
Gossip Cop, however, debunked the rumor that Aniston is jealous of Brosnahan's success. Jen doesn't need to be in every Speck's movie as she is working on plenty of projects at the moment. She is currently filming The Morning Show Season 2 as well as the Friends reunion special.
Gossip Cop also noted that this is not the first time the Murder Mystery actress has been rumored of being jealous of another actress. It can be recalled that Brad Pitt's ex-wife was accused of being envious of Reese Witherspoon, her co-star in The Morning Show. Aniston is allegedly jealous of Witherspoon because the latter is stealing the spotlight from her.
Then, there was also a report that Jen got jealous of Margaret Qualley, Pitt's co-star in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. All of these accusations about Aniston have been proven to be false.
