Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided that being senior royals is not for them anymore and announced that they will be stepping down from their roles. And just like most decisions, theirs also come with a price.

Aside from losing their HRH titles and being banned from using the word “royal” in their future activities, Prince Harry will also be losing his military title. This was, reportedly, a hard pill to swallow for the Duke of Sussex as he had been serving in the military for 10 years. Although Prince Harry ended his military career in June 2015, he had always been a huge supporter of the Armed Forces.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex resided in Canada with their son Archie after they turned their backs on being senior royals, but they are making a fresh start in Lose Angeles. Now, a new report claims that Prince Harry may be regretting his Royal exit decision after US President Donald Trump refused to cover their security bill.

"He told people he regretted having to stand down,” a source said. “He was being apologetic and did not appear fully at ease. He is a genuine guy and you could see he was upset and emotional as this was one of the last times he would be in uniform among his men and women."

Donald Trump took to Twitter to announce that the US will not pay for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security if they’re going to live in the US.

"I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom,” the US President wrote. ”It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!"

A spokesperson for the couple then noted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not planning to ask for security from the government. "The duke and duchess have no plans to ask the US government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made,” they said.

Meanwhile, a previous report revealed that Queen Elizabeth was not too happy with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s withdrawal as the Royal Family would want to spend time with them, especially baby Archie. However, Her Majesty respects their decision and assures them that they are always welcome to the family.
