After engaging with her other counterparts from several countries, like France and Canada, Melania Trump, reportedly, made another phone call to earlier this week amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It was said that the United States First Lady called Carrie Symonds, the United Kingdom's Prime Minister's wife-to-be.

This, reportedly, comes after the updates about Boris Johnson's health condition were shared before the public. As stated, the British leader is now recovering after spending three days in the intensive care unit of a hospital in London.

The White House released an official statement about the most recent phone call that Melania Trump made. It was said that the US President's wife "expressed" her "well wishes" to the Prime Minister's fiancé after learning the situation that the couple has faced in recent weeks.

The official statement also revealed that the First Lady made it known before Carrie Symonds that the United States, along with its citizens are "praying" for her and her soon-to-be husband's recoveries. As it happened, while Boris Johnson stayed for one whole week in the London hospital fighting the novel coronavirus, his fiancé had to recover, as well due to having the "common symptoms."

According to The Independent UK, the United Kingdom's Prime Minister was admitted to the hospital after contracting the virus. He was sent to the intensive care unit as his symptoms, reportedly, got worse.

After spending a few days in the hospital, Carrie Symonds reportedly shared that she also had the "main symptoms" of COVID-19 amid her pregnancy. But, she confirmed that she only had to recover as she was not "seriously affected."

Melania Trump's most recent phone call was said to happen after Boris Johnson got out of the hospital. He is now recovering in their home, alongside his pregnant fiancé.

The statement that was released by The White House also said that the US First Lady "reassured" Carrie Symonds that the United States will stand with the United Kingdom in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic that has already affected millions of people across the globe. It was also shared that the two women "expressed optimism" that both of the countries, US and UK will "get through" the crisis.

Prior to this conversation, Melania Trump also called several First Ladies from different countries. Earlier this week, it was reported that she also engaged in a conversation with the First Lady of Germany, Elke Büdenbender.

The United States has remained to be the epicenter of COVID-19. The cases in the country have now reached more than 750,000 with 40,265 deaths.
