The next-generation wireless earbuds, reportedly called AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite was supposedly scheduled to launch in Mar. 2020. A new piece of information surfaced online recently claiming that the AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite would launch alongside the 2020 refresh 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Latest AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite Leak
The freshest information about the AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite comes from serial Apple tipster and FrontPageTech's Jon Prosser. On his Twitter account, Prosser shares that the AirPods scheduled to launch at Apple's March event would be announced in May. The tipster also reveals that the AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite might come out along with this year's premium Apple laptop.
Based on Prosser's information, it looks like both the 2020 MacBook Pro and the AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite were scheduled to arrive in Mar. Apple traditionally holds an event every end of the first quarter, but this year did not happen because of the current global health crisis. While Prosser shares the launch window of the upcoming Apple wireless earbuds, he fails to reveal details related to its specs.

In February, Digitimes made reference to the upcoming wireless earbuds as the AirPod Pro Lite. This created confusion if the upcoming product is the third generation version of the standard AirPods or if it is going to be the latest member of the AirPods Pro lineup. Whispers online claimed that if it is going to be the affordable version of the AirPods, Apple might drop the fan-favorite Active Noise Cancellation feature.
Other AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite Details
Fans are looking forward that the AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro Lite would retail between around $159 and $199. Apple might equip the upcoming wireless earbuds with customizable tips, which is a very welcome addition. Most probably, the upcoming device might house Apple's H1 chip that was first introduced in AirPods 2.
Earlier, Prosser claimed that the Cupertino tech giant is looking into launching premium over-ear headphones between Sept and Oct. He mentioned that it could be a Beats X-like headphone, which might be called AirPods X. At this point, these details are merely leaks and not yet official.
Apple released the first AirPods in the last part of 2016 and was refreshed in the early part of 2019. there is a chance that the upcoming wireless earbuds could be the more affordable version of the AirPods Pro lineup, which could be the AirPods Pro Lite.
