There is no telling when "Elder Scrolls 6" will come out and the latest on the said game is that it may take time. Hence, all gamers can do right now is figure out what improvements they want to see for the next "Elder Scrolls" game, areas that they feel would need addressing not present on "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" and "Elder Scrolls: Online."
To date, "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" remains the barometer of gamers. Bethesda Studios has not bared many updates on the next installment with the game still under development. Factoring in the COVID-19 situation, the gaming company is not spared from reduced manpower with most advised to stay at home.
There are plenty of areas where "Elder Scrolls 6" could improve on. And one area pointed out by some is the character creation phase. Some believe that it is typical and archetypal and some interesting enhancements could include adding a choice of race, something that could further enrich gamers playing experience, Game Rant reported.
Perking up the character creation for "Elder Scrolls 6" should be interesting. It goes beyond the simple choice of color and special abilities. Some folks suggest ethnicity and options of allegiances with other races. That could account for a big difference in terms of survival, banding together skill sets that may encourage co-op when participating in events or going out on missions.
"Elder Scrolls: Online" gave players an option to choose their race but it remains that possibilities are endless. Beyond this, there are more things that game developers can insert and make the next installment something worth waiting for. With plenty of time to spare, Bethesda is likely welcoming these ideas that may not be on the game's roadmap.
As far as a target release date for "Elder Scrolls 6," it seems most likely that it will not happen in 2020. In an interview with IGN, Todd Howard revealed how the team had a lot on its plate as they tackle other game titles too. That includes "Starfield" which they are also working on right now.
Though it was not mentioned, it may be a matter of priority over in Bethesda. Attention on "Elder Scrolls 6" is expected to resume but only after "Starfield" is done and already out in the open. The game is supposed to come out this year but an official date has been set. That in mind, it radiates further and that includes the potential "Elder Scrolls 6" release date.
