For Dani Ceballos, the best thing he can do for now is focus on his stint with Arsenal FC. Talks have been ripe that the 23-year-old footballer could be due for a move back to Real Madrid but nothing has been discussed thus far. Though he did speak to Zinedine Zidane some months ago, he has not touched base with the Los Blancos head coach since then.

Ceballos is currently on loan to Arsenal but a return to Santiago Bernabeu is not far from happening. And while that possibility could help give the Spaniard an idea of what lies ahead next season, Ceballos understands why he has not yet spoken to Zizou. He sheds more light on the subject in an interview with Movistar.

“It has to be difficult to have a dressing room with so many players. I don't think Zidane talks to the loan players," Ceballos said. "Hopefully. I now have a contract with Arsenal. At the moment in Madrid, it is difficult to play with the players that are there. Now I am focused on being important at a club,” he added.

Regardless, Ceballos is focused on fulfilling his current obligation with the Gunners. He has been doing well and has made 24 appearances for the club. He is coming off an injury but seems to be ready to return to the field. Ceballos joins his Arsenal teammates who are now back in training after spending over a month in isolation. However, there are limitations in place with the COVID-19 virus still not entirely in the clear.

“The club has put us in training and I go to training camp individually,” Ceballos said. “It is the only thing I leave home for."

With no assurance that he will finally get the chance to play for Real next season, it appears Ceballos is fine with whatever comes his way. He admits that he is learning a lot from Mikel Arteta who continues to shape up the Gunners into fighting form.

"It is what I think because I identify with his way of playing, although in Arsenal in three months I have learned a lot with Mikel Arteta," Ceballos said.

Ceballos is also aware that moving back to Los Blancos right now may not be ideal. The fact that Zidane is already dealing with a lot of stars and different personalities now hints that he may not get the same exposure he is getting now. That all depends on what lies ahead for the Spaniard once his current deal lapses.
