Chelsea FC is focused on giving young footballers on their end a break. However, manager Frank Lampard may have an overflow of talents at the rate that he is targeting players both from their end and outside. That being said, attention has shifted to a rising young teenager named Charlie Webster. Unless there is an assurance that Lampard has a use for him, he could be good as gone by next season.

One team in pursuit of Webster is Dortmund Borussia. The ballclub has been known to give young players a chance and such has translated into success. A prime example is Jadon Sancho, someone who has blossomed since moving over from Manchester City three years ago. Aside from him, there is also Erling Haaland who has become one of the young stars with a promising future.

According to the Sun, Dortmund is bent on getting Webster. Not only do they play to help in the development of the 16-year-old, but he could also end up making the first team and joining Sancho. Though that remains to be seen, Webster's future would look brighter compared to the limited opportunities over at Chelsea.

At the rate that Lampard is reeling in talent, Webster's chances grow dimmer by the day. Hakim Ziyech, a player the team acquired in February, is all set to be elevated to the first team soon. With the Eredivisie season coming to an abrupt end, the 27-year-old is now free to move to London, Sky Sports reported.

Aside from Ziyech, there is also Declan Rice. He is another player being eyed by Lampard as the Blues prepare for the possible exit of N'Golo Kante. Chelsea would love to retain and offer Kante a new deal but the word going around is that he is more likely to move to Real Madrid. Though that is subject to chance, Lampard is making sure that key positions have replacements ready so that they don't end up struggling next season.

For Webster, a move could make sense. There is always the possibility he could return at some point moving forward. But by that time, he is likely to cost more. Hence, it renders another curious case for Lampard. If he allows the teen to move out, Chelsea may find it hard to take him back in the future due to financial obstacles.

Webster has already shown what he can do. He is a member of England's under-16 and under-17 teams and even won player of the tournament at the Kevin De Bruyne Under-15s Cup tournament held in Belgium last season. It is clear that he has talent, but will it be enough for Lampard to give him a break?
