Prince William and Kate Middletown’s love story is straight out of a fairy tale. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge confirmed that a real-life prince can marry a beautiful commoner.

However, just like everyone else, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship is also far from being perfect. In fact, the pair also had issues even led to a split.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were pretty young at the beginning of their relationship and they still had a lot to learn about love. Reports even claimed that the Prince had a wandering eye despite being romantically linked with Kate.

Prince William and Kate Middleton met each other in 2001 when they both attended St. Andrews University. The pair struck up a friendship and started dating two years later. They began living together with two other friends but the situation eventually led them to feel claustrophobic in their relationship.

Kate Middleton had to deal with Prince William's wild side like going out on trips with friends without inviting her. But the last straw for Kate at the time was when the prince visited American heiress Anna Sloan, which led to their first break up.

After a time apart, Prince William realized that he loved Kate Middleton too much to let her go so he was determined to win her back. However, Kate gave him one condition to fix their relationship.

According to royal author Katie Nicholl, Kate Middleton told Prince William that if he really wanted to work things out, he would no longer be in contact with former love interest Isabella Anstruther Gough Calthorpe. The prince obliged.

Prince William and Kate Middleton patched things up at the time, but they broke up again in 2007. The Duke of Cambridge was serving in the military at the time and some reports claimed that he had a wandering eye during this period. This appeared to be too much for Kate to handle.

But four months later, Prince William and Kate Middleton rekindled their romance. Now, they recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge share three beautiful children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Meanwhile, Prince William is the second in the line of succession to the British throne and Kate Middleton is the future Queen consort. The Duke of Cambridge had been preparing himself for his upcoming role for years, with Queen Elizabeth mentoring him along the way.
