Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe leaving his club for the past three seasons is no longer a question, it seemed. The French forward appeared all set to make a move to Spain, but where exactly he is going remains a mystery. The 21-year-old is linked with a transfer to Real Madrid for a long time, but he is wanted as well in Barcelona.

In Camp Nou, Victor Font is tipped to be the next club president, and he has already sounded off some of his plans if elected in 2021. Font said he has a priority signing in mind, and he will shoot for the brightest star in Paris, which he identified as Mbappe.

According to Fansided, while the Barca side is thought to be working on the return of Neymar, also coming from the French capital, the incoming club president is more favorable of hiring the young attacker.

"The prospective president of Barca opted for Kylian Mbappe over Neymar as he believes that the player is a lot more creative and focused on football," said the report.

However, Font will surely encounter a still competition if indeed he wants to sign the PSG ace. For one, Real and the Parisians have established a good business relationship in the past while it will be a start from scratch for the incoming executive.

It's a plus on the part of the Los Blancos as well that Mbappe has a good connection with Real boss Zinedine Zidane. It would seem that the two are attached by mutual admiration, and it helped that both are French nationals.

Then Font has to deal with Barcelona captain Lionel Messi. The Argentine has previously stated that he prefers for his club to re-sign Neymar, so the Brazilian getting brushed aside for Neymar would not sit well with the team superstar.

And Font has to worry too a rival from the Premier League. Liverpool joined the race to sign Mbappe, and the English club appears to be attracting the attention of the World Cup, chiefly due to German boss Jurgen Klopp.

In any case, former Real player Fabio Cannavaro is excited about the possibility that the rising French footballer could soon be bringing his game to the Spanish capital. He added Mbappe will be a fitting replacement to the superstar that the club had lost in 2018.

"Real Madrid needs players like Mbappe, a young star who could follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo," Goal reported the Real hero as saying.

However, Cannavaro warned that luring Mbappe away from Parc des Princes will not be easy, saying the Parisians "will fight tooth and nail to keep Mbappe."
