It looks like all the hard work that fans have been putting into the Snyder Cut has finally paid off. Zack Snyder has just confirmed that his director's cut of Justice League will finally be released although it isn't set for a theatrical run. Instead, the Snyder Cut will be released on HBO Max and will be available for fans who have been hoping to see the filmmaker's true vision for the DC Extended Universe flick.

Fans have been campaigning for the Snyder Cut since the release of Justice League back in 2017. The demand started after people believed that Warner Bros. changed Zack Snyder's plans for the film after the director had to back out from the project due to a personal tragedy. There were speculations that the studio forced new director Joss Whedon to alter the movie's direction, leading to a half-baked DCEU flick. Nevertheless, fans never gave up on hopes that they will eventually get to see what Snyder had planned for the film.

Amazingly, it looks like Warner Bros. has finally given in to the passionate fan demands for the Justice League Snyder Cut. It was confirmed that Zack Snyder's director's cut will be released on HBO Max. In addition to that, Snyder is expected to shoot new scenes for the movie so his true vision can be fulfilled.

For now, the plans for the Justice League Snyder Cut are still unclear. There are speculations that Zack Snyder will go with a lengthy four-hour cut of the movie although there is also a possibility that the film will be turned into a six-part series instead. Either option would be a good one for Snyder considering that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director has already expressed every intention to present a detailed story that he was not able to pursue back in 2017.

Justice League starred Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent aka Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen aka The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Vic Stone aka Cyborg. Since Affleck has already decided to hang up his cowl, it is still unclear if he will reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in the reshoots.

The Snyder Cut has been given the official title Zack Snyder's Justice League. The film will premiere on HBO Max in 2021.
