Detective Jung Tae Eul and Luna will finally see each other in the upcoming The King: Eternal Monarch Episode 13. Tae Eul will return to her world and will later find out that her doppelganger from the other universe has assumed her identity in the Republic of Korea.

In the previous episode, no one noticed that Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) got abducted as her co-workers were notified that she will be taking a vacation. Luna (also portrayed by Kim Go Eun) was able to assume the detective's identity after she got hold of Tae Eul's phone.

Luna will make connections to Tae Eul's father and detective Kang Shin Jae (Kim Kyung Nam). She and Shin Jae will have an awkward encounter after she suddenly kisses him.

It will raise suspicion to Shin Jae. He might eventually find out that she is a doppelganger once Tae Eul returns from Lee Gon's (Lee Min Ho) world.

Towards the end of the teaser for Episode 13, Tae Eul is seen talking to someone over the phone. She asked the person at the other line if they could meet. Then Luna was also seen telling someone over the phone that if they see each other, the other person will die.

Elsewhere, Shin Jae will also have another encounter with Lee Lim (Lee Jung Jin). The two already bumped into each other in the previous episode.

The King: Eternal Monarch  Episode 13 could also spell trouble to Eun Seop (Woo Do Hwan). In the hospital, someone will try to kill Captain Jo's doppelganger. Will he succeed in killing another person close to Emperor Lee Gon?

Elsewhere, Prime Minister Koo Seo Ryeong (Jung Eun Chae) also has a lot to answer to her king. In the previous episode, Lee Gon found out that his prime minister had traveled to the other world after both of them felt the burning mark during a thunderstorm.

This could only mean two things. Prime Minister Koo was brought to the other world by Lee Lim and that she has been working with his traitor uncle. The mystery about the burning mark could also be resolved in the upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, Lee Lim may not exactly find a willing ally with Luna. He might have trouble handling her in the upcoming episodes. Lee Lim was seen in Episode 12 getting annoyed by Luna's fierce behavior when she broke into his place and took some money from his stash.

Finally, in the previous episode, Head Court Lady Lady Noh (Kim Young Ok) indirectly admitted to Tae Eul that she came from the Republic of Korea. The King's closest confidant and head of this household staff came to the other world could mean that the portal between the two worlds has existed since the Korean war and someone brought Lady Noh to the Kingdom when she was 17. It looks like Lady Noh hasn't tried to travel back to her original world since she aged naturally, unlike Lee Lim.

The King: Eternal Monarch Episode 13 airs on May 28, at 10 p.m. KST on SBS. It is also available on Netflix for K-drama fans around the world.
