Website updates in the past hinted toward major announcements or reveal. That's why the recent update fans saw on the official website of the PS5 triggers a loud buzz online. With the rumored official PS5 console reveal in Jun 2020, fans could not help but speculate that the Japanese gaming giant could be preparing for something major related to the next generation gaming console.

Sony's official PS5 page gets an update again following its update in Mar 2020. The previous update on the console's official page happened after the in-depth talk of Sony's Lead Architect Mark Cerny. The new page now comes with three bullet points describing the PS5.

The page claims that the PS5 has lightning speed that leverages on the power of a custom GPU, CPU, and SSD. It also states that the next generation console comes with I/O that modifies the rules of what a PS gaming console could do. The updated official page also boasts of the stunning games with incredible graphics courtesy of new PS5 features.

Moreover, the new PS5 official page promises breathtaking immersion through a deeper gaming experience. It mentions supports for adaptive triggers, 3D audio technology, and haptic feedback. While these are not new information, the mere update Sony did on the official page is more than enough to get fans talking.

In Feb 2020, the official PS5 website went live and revealed the familiar PS5 logo along with the holiday 2020 release window. In Mar 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment held an in-depth talk about the PS5. Several gaming sites are currently predicting that the update could be related to something major in connection with the PS5. Others, however, think it could be a simple update to keep the fans hyped since the Japanese gaming giant has not yet announced the official reveal of its next-generation gaming console.

Until now, Sony remained silent about the much-awaited and long-rumored official PS5 reveal. Earlier rumors claimed that the event might happen in Jun 2020. A recently leaked information about the alleged soft reboot of "Silent Hill" revealed that the playable game might launch its official demo at the upcoming PS5 console reveal.

The release window of the PS5 is still a few months away, but an official and full console reveal is long overdue. Microsoft already unveiled the Xbox Series X in 2019 at The Games Awards. By far, Sony has only revealed the official name and logo of the PS5 along with some of its features.
