Microsoft officially unveiled its next generation gaming console, the Xbox Series at TGA 2019. Its rival, the PS5 from Sony, has so far, trickled several details about the upcoming console but has not yet announced for its official reveal. Several industry experts and insiders are now saying that Sony is preparing for a massive PS5 game reveal that might happen a few days from now.

The latest confirmation about the first PS5 game reveal is courtesy of a report written by industry experts Jason Schreier and Takashi Mochizuki. It claims that Sony is preparing for its first PS5 conference or digital event, which could happen on Jun 3, 2020. The date, however, is tentative and could still change, the report clarifies.

The rumored PS5 digital event would launch several PS5 titles, but not the expected crucial details about the upcoming next generation gaming console, the report reveals. Other PS5 digital events are happening soon and the first event would not be the venue for the PS5 full console reveal, the Bloomberg report claims. Venture Beat's Jeff Grubb also claims similar details about the upcoming PS5 digital event.

In his report, Grubb says that the focus of the upcoming PS5 event is on the titles that would run on the upcoming gaming console. The industry insider reveals that the event might happen on Jun 3, 2020. Apart from those, he notes that fans could expect a lot of gameplay and in-engine footage at the said event.

Earlier this week, a Resetera member named Pranay uploaded a screenshot of the official website of the PS5. The screenshot shows that the page got an update and now comes with new texts. It mentions the custom CPU, GPU, and Solid State Drive of the PS5.

It also talks about the lightning speed of Sony's upcoming gaming console that could rewrite the rules on what the PlayStation does. More importantly, the new PS5 official page notes about the stunning games with incredible graphics that will boast the latest PS5 features. In a recent statement, a Sony executive confirmed that the Japanese gaming giant would soon announce an impressive list of PS5 titles.

While Sony has not yet made any comments on the recent information shared by several industry insiders, some fans believe that the recent update on the PS5 official website is somehow connected to an upcoming event. It can be recalled that the PS5 official website went live in Feb 2020 and Mark Cerny's in-depth talk followed in Mar 2020. We cannot confirm about the PS5 digital event on Jun 3, 2020, but with the holiday 2020 release window of the PS5, it is high time that Sony would do something like this for its fans.
