"Far Cry 6" is the rumored upcoming installment of Ubisoft for its successful "Far Cry" series. More details about the game recently surfaced online. It includes the launch and release window, as well as the location of the game.

"Far Cry 6" Reveal And Release Dates

The latest information about "Far Cry 6" came from the Danish site GameReactor. The site earlier leaked several numbers of titles previously scheduled to launch at the upcoming E3 replacement events. It appears that "Far Cry 6" is scheduled to officially unveil at the Ubisoft Forward event, which is happening on Jul 12, 2020.

The report also alleged that "Far Cry 6" would launch before Apr 2021 or before Ubisoft's fiscal year ends. Earlier, the gaming studio shared with the industry all of its games releasing this fiscal year except one title. Game enthusiasts believe that this unannounced game could be "Far Cry 6."

"Far Cry 6" Setting

Aside from the unveiling and release window, the site also claimed that "Far Cry 6" would be set in a new location. It revealed that the upcoming would no longer be set in North America but failed to divulge more details about it. Traditionally, mainline "Far Cry" titles are set in developing or isolated countries, which is one of the reasons why the current offering stood out.

According to GameReactor, fans who are not happy with the North American setting of "Far Cry 5" would find the upcoming offering more compelling. It noted that "Far Cry 6" would provide an exotic setting. Based on the use of words, it looks like fans are up for another setting outside of the US.

While the Danish site did not reveal much about the setting or the plot of "Far Cry 6," it did highlight one crucial point. It implied that the end of this year and the start of 2021 are loaded for the gaming studio in terms of game releases. Earlier, the industry learned that "Watch Dogs: Legion," "Gods and Monsters," "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," and "Rainbow Six Siege: Quarantine" are all launching this year.

Ubisoft also prepared "Beyond Good and Evil 2" and "Skull and Bones," but their release dates are not yet confirmed. The gaming studio is also anticipated to announce other games at its upcoming Ubisoft Forward event in July. It is worth mentioning that while the details about "Far Cry 6" provided by the Danish site are interesting, these are not official. As always, take this information with a pinch of salt.
