BTS V seemed to have been inspired by his members because he is also thinking about releasing his own mixtape this year. He also delved into details on his plans for solo material.

During a live broadcast, the Visual Representative of Kpop addressed fans and said that he  has been writing a lot of songs lately. He said that he's been keeping himself busy by writing songs and ending his day with a drink, All Kpop reported.

Kim Taehyung's next statement excited ARMYs when he revealed plans for solo mixtapes. After the success of Suga's Agust D comeback mixtape D2, V said that he is planning to release one by the end of the year too.

V said that he's written about eight songs for the mixtape but he is unsure if this will be the final number of tracks that will be included. He said he is considering everything because he wants to give ARMYs good songs. He said he had them in mind while he wrote them.

However, he warned fans not to set their expectation too high, in case his plans don't work out.

V's update comes as great news for fans because they have been looking forward to mixtapes by BTS' vocal line. So far, BTS' rap line RM, J-Hope and Suga, through his alter ego Agust D, have released mixtapes.

V's talent in writing songs is not a big secret. He recently wrote, produced and sang Sweet Night, for the OST of his good friend Park Seo Joon's drama Itaewon Class. The song proceeded to take the No. 1 spot in the iTunes Song Charts in 82 countries.

The track was met with huge success because of powerful meaning of the lyrics and V's amazing vocals. The fact that he worked hard on the song to support his hyung Park Seo Joon was not lost on fans. The title of the song is even a nod to the name of the bar that Park Seo Joon ran in the series.

Apart from Sweet Night, Kim Taehyung is also credited for writing, producing and singing several solo songs. He collaborated with RM on 4'o'Clock in 2017. He also wrote Scenery and an English track Winter Bear on the same year.

It can be recalled that V's Scenery became the fastest BTS solo song to reach 20 million streams on Soundcloud after it achieved the feat in just four days, Hello Kpop reported.
