When the NBA free agency begins later this year, one name that is sure on top of the list by teams scouting for potential hires is Giannis Antetokounmpo. He is making things happen for Milwaukee and the franchise is the best performer in the league before the season was suspended in March. Hot on The Greek Freak's trail are teams that can win the championship.

The Miami Heat is one of them and reports said the team's mission in the offseason is to find the piece that will complete the goal to win another title, which was last achieved during the LeBron James era. The Heat managed to win 41 games before the coronavirus lockdown and the postseason campaign is expected to go deep for the club.

If the target will be missed this season, Miami is making sure of having a better shot to the next. That is why Antetokounmpo is on the team's hiring radar, according to Fadeaway World, and citing the information shared by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The interest in the 25-year-old is not surprising at all. He is the reigning MVP and he is proving he has the numbers to support the honor. Antetokounmpo excels in all aspects of the but most importantly, he knocks down the points and no less than 20 per game.

The Bucks superstar will surely collect his NBA ring soon and the estimation indicates he will get several of them. To be sure, the Heat plan to see Antetokounmpo win his first NBA title with them but they are not alone.

The Warriors have the same plan and so are the Raptors and the Lakers. These rival teams will not hesitate to get The Greek Freak out of Milwaukee if given the chance. But this happening is a long shot, according to NBC Sports.

That's because there is no sign from Antetokounmpo that he's even flirting with the idea of working the ball beside the Bucks. There were speculations the Dubs are willing to go all out to get Antetokounmpo to wear the Warriors jersey.

However, it's highly doubtful that GSW have the cap space to maneuver for an effective trade move on the Milwaukee star. Add to that, it was suggested the only way for the Bucks to entertain an inquiry from the Bay Area is if Klay Thompson would be put on the table.

It seemed remote that the Warriors will move to that direction.

Still, Charania said there remains an opening for other teams to attract Antetokounmpo. The player has made clear he intends to win and if that goal will not be realized in Milwaukee then the option of changing his setting will need to be considered.

The Bucks faltering in the next two seasons and failing to support Antetokounmpo's ambition of wearing his hard-earned NBA ring the soonest will serve as the opening that rival teams should take advantage of, said the NBA insider.
