Gwen Stefani is returning to her red musical chair in The Voice to replace Nick Jonas for the upcoming Season 19. Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson is also making a comeback amidst her recent divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock.

NBC has announced its fall primetime programming and it includes the return on The Voice as well as its fan-favorite judge, Gwen Stefani. The "Hollaback Girl" singer will be reuniting with her fellow coaches Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton as well as with host Carson Daly for the 19th installment of the singing competition.

Stefani reacted to the news and shared her excitement for her return in a tweet. She retweeted the announcement on The Voice's official Twitter account along with a comment "Cannot wait!!" and #TeamGwen.

Stefani served as a mentor for six seasons. The No Doubt singer was last seen in Season 17. Shelton's long-time girlfriend skipped the last season to perform a solo Las Vegas residency.

The Voice Season 19 is expected to premiere this fall on NBC. The network has yet to announce the details of how the show will broadcast.

It could be recalled that The Voice Season 18 live shows were changed to remote broadcast with pre-recorded performances at the coaches' and contestants' homes because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Aside from The Voice, NBC also announced the return of its other shows such as This Us, The Blacklist, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Amsterdam, Manifest, and Superstore. All of Dick Wolf's One Chicago shows would also return and Christopher Melon-starred Law & Order: SVU spinoff, titled Law & Order: Organized Crimes, will also premiere this fall.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Clarkson's comeback in Season 19 came less than a week after it was reported that she and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, had ended their seven years of marriage. The "Because of You" singer reportedly filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her court filing, Kelly reportedly asked for joint legal and physical custody of their two children, River 5, and Remington, 4.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that although some of the couple's close friends were shocked by their split, they know that it has been difficult for the couple. Apparently, the "Since U Been Gone" singer and Blackstock have been having problems for several months now and have been doing everything they could to work it out.

They both hoped that quarantining away in Montana would help them work things out in their marriage. But instead, spending time together for a long time only made it worse.
