Meghan Markle's former best friend Jessica Mulroney, reportedly, hired a crisis manager to help with her public image. The stylist and fashion icon recently figured in a racist controversy with another internet influencer.

According to Us Weekly, Mulroney tapped the help of a "big crisis PR team" who will take care of the backlash resulting from her very public quarrel with Sarah Exeter, the Instagram blogger. Mulroney has also been discussing her case with image experts and lawyers to find a way to fix her public persona.

It comes as Mulroney gave up all of her TV appearances, both in Canada and the U.S., as she decided to take the time off from the public, allegedly, to reflect on what happened between her and Exeter. The two had a disagreement, where Exeter accused her of waving her white privilege and threatening a single, Black American mother, with potentially losing her livelihood because Mulroney talked to companies about their disagreement.

Mulroney's husband of 18 years, Ben Mulroney, the son of Canada's former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, also left his TV job amid this racist storm involving his wife. According to Tatler, Ben quit his long-time job as one of the hosts of eTalk. He said in his final statement that he hopes his replacement will be a Black presenter.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and friend of the Mulroney pair for over 10 years, have distanced herself from her former best friend. According to Page Six, their friendship was already fizzling out even before Jessica had this controversy.

Sources said Meghan felt that her former best friend was "making a career" out of her closeness to the Duchess of Sussex. The fight with Exeter apparently gave Meghan the window to finally cut her ties.

It was Jessica who helped Meghan adjust to her life in Canada for more than six years when she was working on the TV show Suits. It was also her best friend who babysat for Archie while Meghan and Prince Harry returned to London for their last rounds of royal engagements early this year. The Mulroney's son was one of the pageboys at Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding.

However, in her fight with Exeter, Jessica apparently hinted that she couldn't be a racist because she has someone very close to her who has been the subject of negative comments from the public, referring to the Duchess of Sussex.
