Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially quit royal life at the end of March. But just because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US to make a fresh start, that does not mean that people would stop talking about their life in the UK.

In fact, documents that were recently released as part of Meghan Markle's High Court battle against Associated Newspapers gave a peek on what she truly feels about the Royal Family. The Duchess of Sussex is suing the publisher of The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline over an article that showed part of her 2018 letter to her estranged father Thomas Markle, which she claimed is a privacy breach.

In the documents, Meghan Markle claims that she felt “unprotected” by the “institution” of the Royal Family when she was pregnant, as reported by MailOnline. Her unnamed friends were, reportedly, worried about her welfare. But even though they spoke anonymously to People magazine, the five friends were identified in the documents.

Meghan Markle denied that she gave them the authority to do the interview. The Duchess of Sussex shared that she had no idea that the interview was done and only found out about it after the article was published.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced back in January that they will be stepping down from their roles, it was already heavily speculated that they had a rift with the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in their announcement that they wished to focus more not heir family and charities, but many believed that the reason for their withdrawal is much deeper than that.

Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell is set to release a book called “Meghan and Harry: The Real Story,” where she alleged that rift between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the Royal Family started “at the very first garden party at Buckingham Palace” during the celebration of Prince Charles’ birthday. The event happened on May 22, 2018, just three days after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nuptials.

In her tell-all book, Lady Colin Campbell claimed that Meghan Markle complained to Prince Harry that she was “bored.” The Duchess of Sussex, allegedly, wanted to leave the garden party after being there for only 15 minutes.

However, a lip reader revealed that there was nothing controversial about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit at Prince Charles’ birthday party at all. According to the expert, the father and son were simply exchanging casual words, such as “We will go now... see you later” and “Yes, catch up... after.”
