More than two years after she was kicked out of her role as a senior adviser to First Lady Melania Trump, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff is about to release her memoir. The upcoming book will, reportedly, detail her 15-year friendship with Melania, her role in Donald Trump's 2017 inauguration ceremony, and her time at the White House.
Socialite Stephanie Winston Wolkoff was one of the closest pals of Melania Trump. They were friends even before Trump took the highest post in America.
She played an important role in helping Melania transition from the Trump Tower in New York City into the East Wing of the White House, where the First Lady of the United States has an office. Winston Wolkoff was also known as the one who overseen Trump's inauguration ceremony in January 2017.
However, in February 2018, Melania Trump and Winston Wolkoff had a falling out after the latter was forced out of her role. It was triggered by allegations that her company received $26 million in payment from the Trump inaugural committee to help plan the newly-elected president's lavish inauguration ceremony and other related events.
At the time, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff claimed that her firm only retained a total of $1.62 million that was divided among the staff. Later on, she cooperated with the Manhattan federal prosecutors, who launched an investigation on whether or not Trump's 2017 inaugural committee misspent some of the $107 million that was raised from donations.
In an interview with The New York Times, Winston Wolkoff doesn't believe that she was dismissed from her role at the White House. She said it was more of she was "thrown under the bus."
Meanwhile, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff's upcoming memoir was already available for pre-sale on Amazon. However, it was labeled "Untitled SWW" and placed under the "Biographies and Memoirs" section.
According to The Daily Beast, the book description indicated that Winston Wolkoff will not only talk about her friendship with Melania Trump but also share her observations of what she called "the most chaotic White House in history." The book, reportedly, titled Melania and Me, is set to hit shelves on September 1.
Winston Wolkoff previously worked for Vogue and as artistic director of Anna Wintour's Condé Nast. She was also known for her role as the magazine's special events director producing the star-studded annual charity event, Met Gala, which Donald and Melania Trump typically attended.
