Gigi Hadid has decided not to keep her pregnancy private anymore. The supermodel shared the first glimpse of her baby bump and teased that there will be more in the coming days.
Hadid has been keeping her pregnancy private since she confirmed in April that she is expecting her first baby with Zayn Malik. However, unlike other pregnant celebs, Gigi hasn't shown her baby bump until she went on Instagram Live on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old model went on IG Live again and talked about her pregnancy journey. She said she is grateful for all the positive comments that she has been receiving and explained why she has been keeping it under wraps for months.
Gigi Hadid said she felt that her pregnancy is something that she doesn't need to share with everyone other than to her family and friends. She stated the world is going through the COVID-19 pandemic at the moment and she doesn't think that her pregnancy is the most important thing to give attention to rather than the current health crisis.
Then, there are the protests on streets following the death of George Floyd. Hadid believed that people's presence on social media should be used in raising awareness on these issues and concerns rather than on her pregnancy.
Hadid, however, revealed to her fans that she has been taking pictures and documenting her pregnancy and she will show it to them at the right time. But, right now, Gigi said all she wants to do is savor the experience and don't worry about waking up cute or beautiful in the morning.
Also, Gigi Hadid, once again, addressed the speculation that she was "disguising" her pregnancy. A few weeks ago, Hadid went on IG Live wearing a baggy jumpsuit. British Vogue wrote an article about the model look with the headline: "Gigi Hadid Reveals How She Disguises Her Pregnancy."
It didn't sit well with Gigi. She reposted British Vogue's tweet about the article and put an emphasis on the word "disguise." Hadid stressed that she is not trying to disguise or hide her baby bump. On the contrary, she is very proud and happy with her pregnancy.
She, also, explained to a fan who asked her how it is that she doesn't look pregnant that she was wearing a loose outfit at the time. Hadid said her jumpsuit gave an optical illusion at some angle which made her growing belly less obvious.
Gigi Hadid is expected to deliver baby Zigi in September. She is, currently, promoting her new V Magazine Gigi Journal Part II issue, which is now available online and on select newsstands.
