Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are, reportedly, taking their relationship to a whole new level: marriage. It has been rumored that Simpson already popped the question to the singer and Cyrus accepted his proposal.
In Touch published a story this week claiming Miley and Cody are already engaged. The tabloid alleged Simpson got down on his knee and asked the Hannah Montana actress to marry him.
A source of the outlet said everyone thought the "Wrecking Ball" singer wasn't thinking of marrying for now after her recent divorce from Liam Hemsworth. But, the insider claimed Miley took her first failed marriage as a learning experience.
It added that the "Slide Away" singer has matured since her romance with the Hunger Games actor ended and she is, now, determined to make her second marriage right. However, the source said Miley hasn't changed when it comes to what her heart's desire. The insider claimed Miley, as always, listens to her heart rather than her head.
Miley Cyrus had an on and off relationship with Liam Hemsworth for almost a decade. They got married in a low-key ceremony in December 2018 but decided to split in August the following year. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
Cyrus began dating Simpson in October 2019 but the two have been friends for years. In Touch claimed the couple is now planning to have a small wedding like what Miley had with Liam.
Gossip Cop, however, doesn't think that Cyrus and Simpson are already engaged. It noted that the Black Mirror actress has been very vocal about her personal life.
When she rekindled romance with Hemsworth, she didn't immediately confirm it but her ring finger said it all. She was spotted wearing the same engagement ring that the actor gave her during their first engagement in 2012.
If the singer got engaged with Simpson, Miley would either announce it or also show off the new rock on her finger. The singer has been quarantining with Cody at her home in California.
The couple was last seen together in a TikTok video they shared with their fans earlier this month. Miley wasn't wearing an engagement ring.
Gossip Cop added that tabloids aren't exactly a reliable source of accurate information about Cyrus. Earlier this year, OK! reported that Miley wanted to have a baby with Cody.
The same tabloid, also, reported in October 2019 that Cyrus' friends were worried that she was moving too fast with Simpson as she just broke up with Liam. The tabloid claimed Miley Cyrus' friends pleaded to her to put a brake on her relationship with the Australian model-singer.
