Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can no longer use their Sussex Royal brand after their official withdrawal at the end of March. While Queen Elizabeth stated that she and the Royal Family supported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step down from their senior royal roles, the couple needs to face some consequences, and being banned from using the word “royal” in their future ventures is one of them.

Back in April, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the name of their new U.S. foundation, Archewell. But, as for their U.K. foundation, new documents revealed that the couple is changing their Sussex Royal brand to the MFX Foundation.

Financial expert Robert Leach said that there are a couple of reasons as to why a name may be changed. He said that it’s either the “existing name has become toxic” or “because the name is not permitted.” In Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s case, it’s the latter.

“Many terms require permission from someone to be used in a company name. The word 'royal' is strictly guarded,” he said.

It is still not clear what MWX stands for. However, some speculated that MW could stand for “Markle” and “Windsor.”

Meanwhile, even though Archewell is expected to come to light later this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already worked on it for months. Unfortunately, their plans for Archewell came to a screeching halt due to the coronavirus outbreak. It is, then, revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are redirecting their focus to other issues.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are shifting their attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. The Duchess of Sussex talked about the campaign earlier this month in a graduation speech she gave to her old high school. If there is one royal family member that people expect to talk about this movement, it’s her.

Before she became a part of the Royal family, Meghan Markle had already shared her struggles being a biracial woman. The Duchess of Sussex revealed that she experienced racism because of the color of her skin.

Meghan Markle went on to say that, because of her race, she became a subject of name-calling and offensive jokes. She, also, shared that her mother, Doria Ragland, was called a racial slur. The former Suits star said that she is “personally affected by racism” and is hoping for “things to be better” in the world.
