A couple of leaked images reveal camera lenses' placement and the final design of the iPhone 12 Pro. Apple recently confirmed that the launch of this year's iPhone 12 series might be delayed. The Cupertino company is anticipated to unveil the new flagship line up in September. However, according to an Apple executive, it might happen a few weeks later than the usual unveiling.

New iPhone 12 Pro Leaks

While Apple officially confirmed that fans might not see the iPhone 12 line up in September, more leaks related to the series are surfacing online. The latest came from an industry insider with the Twitter handle Komiya. The tipster shared a couple of images showing the placement of the rear camera lenses of the iPhone 12 Pro.

The images also give fans a sneak peek on the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both upcoming handsets would seemingly feature the same notch as their predecessors. Interestingly, both the upcoming iPhone 12 models would sport a square camera setup with six circles.

According to the insider, "all three lenses are a little larger than 11 Pro series." This could mean that the sensors are much bigger and probably offer improved photo quality. If one of those circles is the rumored LiDar sensor, which debuted on the iPad pro, it appeared smaller than that found on the Apple premium tablet.

iPhone 12 Launch Date

Apple usually holds an event in September of each year to announce new products. The September event is also the platform where the Cupertino company unveils its latest flagship iPhone series. However, it appears that unlike the previous years, Apple might not launch this year's flagship in September.

During Apple's recent earnings call, CFO Luca Maestri confirmed that the launch of the iPhone 12 line up would be delayed. Qualcomm earlier said that there might be a slight delay on Apple's flagship handset, which could include the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12. While the Apple CFO did not share any specifics on delay, he mentioned that "Last year we started selling new iPhones in late September. This year, we project supply to be available a few weeks later."

While answering a question raised by an analyst during the company's earnings call, Maestri confirmed that he is referring to the iPhone 12 series. The CFO's recent statement aligns with previous claims shared by industry insiders. Some said that the iPhone 12 launch could happen in October.
