The latest details reveal interesting information that could be very helpful, especially for those who prefer to own a bigger battery device. Apple has not yet confirmed the rumored flagship series's existence, but the industry is already anticipating its launch sometime in September.

iPhone 12 Battery Specs

The latest information about the upcoming iPhone 12 line up's battery sizes came from reliable Apple tipster Komiya. According to the insider, the more premium iPhone 12 Pro Max features a smaller cell than the more affordable iPhone 12 Max. following the reveal of the devices' 2D schematic, the tipster offered information on Apple's battery capacities forthcoming flagship iPhone.

Based on the insider's latest information, the iPhone 12 (5.4-inch) with part number A2471 features a 2227 mAh battery. The iPhone 12 Max (6.1-inch) with part number A2479 houses 2815 mAh battery, according to Komiya. Meanwhile, the higher tier iPhone 12 Pro (6.1-inch) with the part number A2431 sports 2775 mAh battery cell while the iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch) with part number A2466 features 3687 mAh battery pack.

Other iPhone 12 Battery Details

The part numbers seemingly align with a recent report about the certification of three new batteries in South Korea. The batteries allegedly are for the upcoming flagship iPhone 12 series. The certification reveals the battery capacities, namely 2227 mAh, 2775 mAh, and 3687 mAh.

Another information from industry insider the_tech_guy claims that the iPhone 12 Pro Max could feature 4380 mAh rated battery capacity with part number A2389. According to GizmoChina, the Pro Max model would utilize a much smaller A2466 battery of 3687 mAh. It was reported earlier that the highest tier iPhone 12 Pro Max would ship with 5G support. It is only logical for Apple to place a battery with a higher battery capacity on the iPhone 12 Pro Max if it would indeed feature 5G support.

While it may look confusing since the iPhone 12 Pro has a much bigger capacity than the iPhone 12 pro Max, Komiya explained that the iPhone 12 Pro would feature a better camera system that would occupy more space inside the chassis. This is the reason why Apple has to resort to a smaller battery for the model. It is worth mentioning that these details about the upcoming iPhone 12 series are unconfirmed and unofficial. In this case, take this information with a good measure of skepticism.
