Keith Urban is reportedly planning to leave his family in Australia amid the coronavirus pandemic and travel back to the United States while his wife, Nicole Kidman, and their kids stay Down Under.

Woman's Day published a story this week claiming Urban is leaving his family behind in Australia and will return to the U.S. so he can perform in the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival. The festival is set to film performances in Los Angeles and Nashville next month.

Though the tabloid said Urban is currently in Australia, he is planning to travel back to the U.S. early because of issues with Kidman. A source quoted by the tabloid added that Urban accepted the gig without telling his wife. Keith allegedly took it just to show to the Bombshell actress that he needs to go back to the U.S.

The tabloid also speculated that the Graffiti U singer would be staying at their new $5 million New York City apartment to write his music. Woman's Day claimed Keith would be using the "bachelor pad" as his escape place whenever he needs to be alone.

However, Gossip Cop debunked the story that implied Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are having issues and stressed that the couple is doing great and there is no tension between them.

The Graffiti U singer may indeed return to America soon because of the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Festival. He is set to perform in the upcoming event to promote his new album The Speed of Now Part I.

Gossip Cop noted that Keith wouldn't bother to fly with his family to Australia if he was secretly planning to leave them. It looked like their trip to Australia had been planned a long time ago and it was just delayed because of the pandemic.

It is worth noting that Kidman's 80-year-old mother, Janelle, lives in Australia. She is a cancer survivor. Nicole would spend time with her as much as she could.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, along with their two daughters, arrived in Australia a few weeks ago. They caused a controversy after it seemed like the family skipped the mandatory quarantine period. It turned out they had been permitted to quarantine at home instead of at their hotel.

The Big Little Lies actress finally saw her mother over the weekend. She shared photos of her hugging Janelle when they finally reunited after being apart for eight months.

Moreover, Nicole Kidman traveled to her home country and will be staying there because she is set to start the production of the TV adaptation of the novel, Nine Perfect Strangers. The actress will star and produce the series.
