Royal tell-all book Finding Freedom has revealed Meghan Markle had to take part in a staged kidnapping before marrying Prince Harry.

"Meghan took part in a staged kidnapping where she was bundled into the back of a car by a 'terrorist,' taken to a location and then 'saved' by officers with fake guns," according to the book.

The Duchess of Sussex completed an "intense" two-day security course at SAS headquarters in Hereford. All senior royals except for Queen Elizabeth have taken the same training, Markle and Prince Harry's unofficial biography says.

Kate Middleton did the training but the Duchess of Cambridge completed her course after her marriage to Prince William. Markle, a former actress, had to complete her training before her wedding with Harry because they had received an unusually high number of threats.

Markle and Harry handle these threats calmly, it said. But after the arrival of their firstborn last year the Duke and Duchess of Sussex take all risks more seriously.

In May Markle and Harry were fearful for Archie's safety after their Los Angeles home was surrounded by drones. At least five drone-related incidents were recorded with some reported as low as 20 feet over their home.

It was believed the drones were operated by paparazzi. Since they aren't allowed to go near Harry and Markle's residence they use drones. But paparazzi aren't the only suspects. The incident was treated as a potential terrorist threat.

According to The Daily Beast, Harry and Markle reported the incident to the Los Angeles Police Department. A LAPD representative confirmed the incident was reported May 20.

A friend of the royal couple said the couple hasn't requested special treatment.
